Sgt. Sass is a queer hip-hop duo from Philadelphia who bring the party heat direct from the street. With influences as diverse as Rakim, Bikini Kill, Salt-n-Pepa, Sleater-Kinney, Biggie, Lil' Kim, Missy Elliott, and Bratmobile - Sgt. Sass have found the freshest blend of the identity - politic confrontationalism of riot grrl punk and the playful, yet truthful, braggadocio of hip-hop. Sgt. Sass released their much-anticipated mixtape "Double S 4 Mayor" (produced by John Woods, Steven Bloodbath, Moblin, and Sgt. Sass) on Nov. 3, 2007 atTritone.
